Freeverse posts first look at racing game for iPhone

Another longtime Mac game developer, Freeverse Software, has stepped up to the plate with a first look at Wingnuts Moto Racer, its first game for the iPhone.

The company said it wasn’t permitted to show screenshots from the game, as per its Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Apple, but Freeverse posted several images of art taken from their Mac level building utility, as well as cutscenes from the game.

Wingnuts Moto Racer, named after Freeverse’s popular arcade game series, is a 3D racing game designed especially for the iPhone and iPod touch. The first look, written by Freeverse’s newest intern Doug, sports some cleverly placed redactions to keep you wondering as much about what he said as what he didn’t say — but the point is clear. Freeverse is banking on Wingnuts Moto Racer being a big hit and a popular iPhone pastime as soon as it’s available for download from the App Store.
